My friend has small bruises on the middle of her back for no reason that appear often. She has very severe Celiac's disease, and she is 13 years old. She is very drowsy with no energy, and has nausea and vomits a lot lately. I don't know if this is related at all but her gums and the inside of her mouth bleed when she's not even eating or anything, just for no reason. She was looked at by a friends mom who is a doctor, and she suspects that this could be Leukemia. She also had a herniated disc in her back recently which is now pretty much fixed, but could that be the reason for her bruises? My friend has an appointment at the doctors office to have her spine looked at and get blood drawn and tested. She also loses weight without trying and has excessive sweating and random tiny reddish spots from her stomach all the way down her hip. She is only 93 pounds and is losing a lot of weight for some reason. Is this Leukemia??? What are some other symptoms of Leukemia? What else could this be? Unable to qualify to refinance coborrower wants out?

I purchased a home and my mom cosigned as what I'd believed to be a non occupying co-borrower at the time which I came to find out she was actually a joint tenant on the mortgage. She moved in with me shortly after I bought it due to my parents divorcing and now because I have a family she has moved out. She told me I had a week to get the loan out of her name but I'm finding this impossible because I couldn't qualify for the loan on my own in the first place, which is why I asked her to cosign with me. It is a FHA loan and I know they have exceptions for her to purchase her own home without me having to refinance my home and get the mortgage out of her name. I have always made the payments and have lived in the house for almost 2 years never having one late payment. When I spoke to a loan officer she told me I can submit documentation showing I've been making the payments, and an affidavit saying I'm responsible for the payments and that would satisfy their requirements. Anyone been successful at doing this? My mom had her name removed from the deed (divorce trying to get as much as she could) but the mortgage was never refinanced, now she is angry with me about her name being on the mortgage. Is there any way I can go without having to refinance. I can't come up with money for closing costs in such short time.

Chemo side effects can be terrible and no ethical oncologist is going to continue chemo when there is no loner any chance it will work. Well the best thing is to try and stay positive for her. She is blind so she relies on her other senses the main one being she is able to sense what you feel thus causing her to become more agitated. Try not letting your issues of scaring her or worrying about her or fussing over her get in the way and affect your actions, reactions and overall decisions. When your dog has a traumatic experience and then later develops issues mentally caused by the past situation it too also affects you and affects how you attempt to help her overcome her issues. Fussing over her while she is near water only will increase her anxiety and fear as she is sensing that your uneasy. To you a tough love approach is not fair because it is not her fault and she should know that she is ok. As far as your dog is concerned by you having no rules or any discipline makes her feel more anxious. Dogs live in packs and within each pack is a leader. You dog has no leader therefore her symptoms become more extensive and more severe. Im not saying to throw your dog in the water and to to be cruel what I am saying to be stern and be the pack leader and the dominant species. Treats work use her sense of smell to follow you and once in the bathroom treat her, once she does something else good, treat her and so on and son. It wont work the first time but eventually it will work. She will associate treats with listening to you and that being the reward for her great effort. Rewards always work to train a dog.even a traumatized one. The rash and obsessive licking does sound like Obsessive compulsive disorder and again just like us, time will be the only cure. Your way of thought and over caring nature needs to change around her she needs to know that you are the boss. Eventually if things go right most of the symptoms should have gone and a happier healthier and less fearful dog will be the biggest change. Again like I said it's hard really hard and it does take time but just keep your vet advised on what you are doing and how she is progressing. I wish you all the luck and I hope it all goes to plan. It is not fair at all to place that type of burden on a 13 year old child who has already done what she could to help her sister. In a way it is child abuse. The mother is pressuring her child when the mother alone should be handling decisions, not a child. Anna should be being a child & only that. While there are usually safe kidney operations, there is always the chance that you can have anesthesia reactions or blood clots post op. One or both kids could die. A mother should care equally about her children but the stress of the illness has gotten to the mother in a bad way. Surgery is very safe but things can happen. I had experienced one young healthy patient going for a simple inguinal hernia repair who never came back from the OR. It was anesthesia death...it can & does happen. That girl should ask the courts to appoint her a lawyer to protect her rights & not be forced to do something she doesn't want to do. When her mother slapped her she should have called the police & gotten out of that home situation until things cooled down. Maybe other relatives would have been kinder to her. (Where was her father during all this?)

Alrightt...so I have a twin sister and I'm pretty scared for her. She's only 16 years old. She about 4'11. She weighs like 75 pounds. Can anyone help me predict what it will be like coming back after that much time off? I'd been riding my whole life and have no idea what to expect. I don't want to expect that I'll be ready to be jumping 4 feet on my first day back or be frightened to return that I will be completely off balance with horrible form at a simple walk. Went to a job interview, the interviewer thought I was 17 but I'm 16, do i still have a chance at the job?

The interview went pretty good, the guy said he was looking for 3 people. I dressed nicely and answered the general questions at first like tell me about yourself etc. Then somewhere along the interview i mentioned that I'm 16 then the employer said he thought I was 17 cause I was entering senior year. I really could use some help trying to understand some test results I got back from my doctor. The papers state that there is a T-granular lymphocytes increase of 8% expressing CD2, CD3, variable CD7 and CD8, and partial CD56, negative for CD4 and CD 5. It also says that my Plasma cells are only 0.06% and have benign surface phenotype, but CD19 is positive while CD 56 is negative. B-cells are polyclonal. My Immunoglobulin M, QN, Serum is High, while my RBC, HGB, and HCT are incredibly low. My WBC is almost too low also. It's at a 5.0. For the Iron Panel my FE and %Sat was extremely low, and my Bands are nonexistent at a 0.00. The Comments also state that the platelets are adequate, occasionally enlarged and abnormally shaped. She also stated on the front that there was possibility of Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia, but she hasn't talked to me about any of this. I'm really scared and would love some answers. Is it just anemia or do I need more testing?

Hello, first of all I am from the uk if that makes any difference. Ok so basically I have had my braces for a couple of days over a year. I am getting them off tomorrow and I am terrified that I will get marks where they were. Can i do a half marathon without any additional training?

A few days ago i saw an ad in a paper advertising a half marathon and it sounded fun. Sadly it was the next day and it as too late to sign up. That sparked an interest for me. My cat has a bad infection on his leg, I can't take him to vet, what can i do?

I know a lot of you are going to say, you owe your cat the medical attention he needs just bring him in, but its not that easy right now...Here's the story: The cat got into a fight about 2 weeks ago with (i am pretty sure) the neighbors dog. He has 2 lacerations high up on his leg, one mid-way, one up on shoulder. He limped around for the first week and a half, then it burst open and A LOT of pus came out, his blood isn't even red, its pinkish orangish...He doesn't limp on it anymore, but i can tell it still bothers him a bit, and pus is still coming out bad. The nearest vet is over an hour drive away, I have no car anymore, and am living in poverty so I couldn't afford the bill (he does not accept payments on the bills anymore). I LOVE my cat and have cleaned it the best I can with hot soapy water, but I don't know what else I can do for him, I'm not sure whats safe to use and its not getting better yet. I really really don't want to take him out back if i can help it, I don't think I have the guts to do it anyway unless he was suffering that badly..has anyone treated such a bad infection at home before and can help me? I am moving to a new place, and since I didn't do too well here in the friend department, I've decided to become a much more likable person. Young cat just had kittens, now acting funny?

My friends 8 month old cat recently had kittens. Ever since she gave birth to the kittens she's been acting very strange. She wouldn't eat, her coat was losing color, and she had trouble walking. After noticing this, we took the kittens away because I figured the kittens were sucking all the life out of her. I also searched the internet to find out if there were any possible diseases she could have, and the first thing I looked up was leukemia. She had quite a few of those symptoms. Ok, so I am a year older than my best friend, and we are thinking about dorming together in college next year after she graduates. So ill be sophomore in college and she will be a freshmen. We have been best friends for a while and are EXTREMELY understanding of each other. We don't fight because of this. (I guess we are like sisters in closeness) Anyway, I am a little hesitant about dorming with her becase she is such a good friend, and i have heard best friends dorming desroys friendships. Neither of us have a dominant personallity or are controlling, but still i am afraid too much time together in a dorm room might be too much. I'm a 16 year old female who lost my father to Leukemia almost two years ago. Ever since then, I've been having noticeably different emotions. I get easily angered and cry over almost anything. I also recently lost literally all of my friends when they started to betray my trust. They also tormented me through cyberbullying and writing degrading things about me on the bathroom stalls. That seemed to make everything worse. I am also almost always alone, since my Mother has to work all hours of the day to support our family. So, with her being gone, I have no one to confide my problems to. I do see a counselor every two weeks, and I have requested to see her more, but she denies my requests. I also see a psychiatrist and am on 150 milligrams of Zoloft, which also does not seem to be working, and he too denies my request to try a different medicine or higher dosage. To make things worse, my only friend, who is also my boyfriend, is now thousands of miles away to visit his father, and does not wish to talk to me, much less listen to what I have to say. We have been dating and bestfriends for almost three years now, and I do believe my mental state has jeopardized us from becoming closer, and in fact, is most likely making me lose him. I feel helpless and hopeless, and sometimes I take my prescription pain pills from surgery to ease the pain and escape reality. I also try to over-dose on my Zoloft or Tylenol in order to maybe pass out, since I am unable to sleep at all anymore. Although I may have problems, I'm not stupid and I know what I'm doing is wrong and I do understand I need help desperately. I want to check myself into a mental hospital, but I don't want to leave my Mom behind and hurt her. She is taking the loss of my Dad pretty hard too. But I am also concerned that if I don't get help, I may end up killing myself despite my strong belief against it, and then my Mom would never see me again. Please help. What should I do?

I am having testicular pain. Is there any significant danger, and what should I do about it?

I am a 16 year old male, and I am having pain localized to the bottom of my left testicle. For a few months about a year and a half ago, I was having similar pain. While it was less severe, it was more frequent. After a while, it simply went away and i thought it was gone until about a week ago when the pain returned stronger than ever. Every other day or so, for the last week, i have had episodes of testicular pain (about a 6 on a scale of 1-10) that last about a minute, then go away. If i touch the bottom of my left testicle during an episode, the pain is significantly increased, but it does not hurt to the touch at any other time. I'm not sure if this is relevant or if this happens to everyone, but my testicles sometimes feel very sore after masturbating. I have done a bit of research, but nothing seems to quite fit my symptoms. I did see one website in which it was suggested that excessive masturbation could be the cause, but I masturbate once a day with rare exception, which would not be considered "excessive." Another website suggested a bacterial infection, but I have been on antibiotics multiple times over the last year for sinus infections, and I do not have a Fever or any other symptoms of infection, so that is pretty much ruled out. Some websites suggested that it may be an STD, but I am a virgin which rules that out. Another has been testicular torsion, which, as this has been inconsistent pain for more than a year, it seems unlikely. I have also come across testicular cancer as a possibility, but i checked and did not notice any abnormalities or differences between my two testicles. Additionally, there is absolutely no history of cancer in my family except for my grandmother who has lymphoma so mild that nothing needed to be done about it. Finally, there has been no potential injury to my testicles. Do you have any other ideas of what it could be? Do you think there is any significant immediate danger? Thank you so much.

I have a 3.65 GPA and a got a 23 on my ACT. Not very happy with that score but I'm a horrible test taker so I'm just going to settle with it. I'm torn about how to end my story? (easy ten points)?

Basically, all you need to know is that the story is about 6 teenagers who accidentally transport themselves ten years into the future with a time machine (i know, it sounds like a sci-fi story, but it's not. really) But it's not like back to the future, more like thirteen going on thirty so they're not kids who got transported there, they're lives have been fast forwarded and they're adults now. Anyway, long story short, I'm torn whether or not I should bring them back to the past in the end. Near the beginning, that was the main goal they were working towards, getting back, but slowly, they've adjusted to their new lives and they've even sort of started forgetting sometimes that they're really just kids. On one hand, I think it would be kind of cool to see them accept their new lives and be happy with them, but I also kind of want them to go back. I feel like that would be a bit disorienting though because they're in the future for over a year and then they're just supposed to forget about it? And also, there are three children that may cease to exist if they go back to the past because if they do one thing differantly, they may not have their children. One character's girlfriend dies of leukemia though so he'd get to see her again if they went back to the past. But also, two characters who are dating in the future wouldn't be able to date in the past because of the age differance. I'm just not sure what to do. What would you do if you were me and why?? Credit Report. Navy Security Clearance.?

I will be training for a job in the Navy requiring Top Secret Security Clearance. I had around 5 or 6 accounts go to collections in the past 3 years. With the exception of 1 account, all accounts were under $600. Only 3 of these accounts show up on my credit report. The 3 accounts that show on my credit report I recently paid in full (including the largest account of $1,019). When they do my background check are they going to find these other accounts that I have in collections? They were small pay-day loans ($400-600 each). I would pay them off but I can't even find them. They aren't listed on my credit report and I've moved a few times since they occurred. If a dog steps in cat urine or feces can it pass feline leukemia to a cat indoors?

I have several cats outdoors. I'm concerned that if my dog steps in their urine or feces and drags it inside the house (say on the kitchen floor) and my indoor cats step on the same areas and then clean their paws that they could get feline leukemia from an infected cat outdoors. I know that the virus dies within two hours outside of the cats body. To me it still seems plausible? I have had two cats that have always been indoors (4&7) and they both died of feline leukemia. I have a dog as well and it was shortly after getting the dog that the cats both got sick and died within 2 months of each other.

My boyfriend just broke up with me, what do I do?

Two days ago, my boyfriend broke up with me for the third time. The first time was 7 months after we dated and he broke it off but he didnt really meant it and we got back together the next day. The second time was 2 months later when he felt that we had too much problems and he felt that he was not ready. We stayed in contact and I cried like crazy, felt depression kicking in and was just really sad. We stayed in contact for 2 months and I told him that I found out I had leukemia and so we decided to get back with each other. Then, 6 months later, he ended it for the third time saying he was not ready for our relationship and the problems again. We didn't meet each other's expectations enough to love each other. The fact that I was always going to him when I had problems and I was suffocating him but he gives me the best comfort and going through leukemia hurts me a lot. I don't know what to do anymore, it has only been two days and my heart hurts like hell. The last time I saw him was the day after he broke up with me because I wanted to give him his stuff back. Now, I dont know what to do, I keep living in the past and thinking what a wonderful man he was because he really is. He was my first love and we are still in high school, well, just graduated and we are going to the same college but we were each other's first boyfriend/girlfriend too. So it's really really hard for me. Last night I saw pictures of him with our friends and he was just really happy and it looked like he was not depressed or sad at all which makes me really jealous. I have cancer and I have to go through this break up again...I just feel like killing myself and needing a lot of help. I can't afford therapy or any other help, college is going to be a pain as well seeing him again. I don't know what to do anymore, keep in touch with him, hoping that we'll get back together or just lose him and say that that is the end, no friendship, no contact, you're dead to me, out of my life. I know he truly cares for deep inside and that feelings just dont go away in a couple of days. We were together for a year and a half and we shared a lot of good memories together, now I just feel so lonely and so depress...I need help on what to do now...

I feel like my world is ending i dont know how to manage anymore?

last summer i had major panic attacks that lead me to a two week stay in the hospital. It was really really bad, they thought i had a heart condition from all the jumps and arrythmias and that was a problem because I already have long QT syndrome. When i was little I had leukemia but i survived that and ever since ive been pretty okay but then last summer everything changed. So for about two months straight i lyed on my couch, didnt talk or go out and i couldnt goto school because i was too dizzy to even SIT UP let alone stand and walk around. I couldnt talk because I had no breath and I felt literally like I was dying. They put me on floxetine and it only made it worst and now i have memory problems from that. anyways about 3 months into my anxiety it started to ease, i was not on any meds at that point so basically the whole fall/winter/spring was just basically controllable anxiety, a symptom here and there and i handled it but now its back again but worst. for the last 4 days ive been lying on my couch sleeping. I had to skip my last exam because i couldnt sit up. Im breaking out, and always exhausted. all my friends havent hung with me in about two weeks but they dont even understand what anxiety is actually like. All this is going on and I cant do anything. im lying down on my laptop now i will do anything for a cure. ANYTHING honestly. i dont smoke or do anything but the only thing that has helped my anxiety is alcohol. im so stuck im the one that tells people "to cherish their life because you only have one and people would kill to live yours" but to be honest, i dont even want to be in mine if its going to be like this forever.

My 1 year old daughter went in for her 12 month physical and they drew blood. She had no fever, runny nose, UTI, etc. She was happy and healthy. Her white blood cell count came back to be 22,000cells/microliter. The doctor wants to retest her in a month to rule out infection. Is 22,000 a high enough number to worry about the possibility of leukemia?

Recently I have been feeling really upset. I don't know why I'm doing anything at all. I feel like I'm not really feeling. The days just past worthlessly and I can't seem to care about anything, with the exception of my boyfriend. All I want is to fall asleep and have time freeze, because I don't want to commit suicide and worry my friends or mom, make them upset, yet I don't want time to move. Going to school, for me, does not carry anything of interest for me other than my boyfriend. I hate the way I think now, and I try to tell myself that by doing something useful, I'll find some value in life. But I can't seem to find anything worth doing. In school, I'm smiling and socializing and achieving okay grades, and no one can tell that I'm upset or anything. I don't dare to get help from the school councillor. Sometimes, I feel worthless to everyone, including my boyfriend. I don't understand what I'm feeling. I don't recognize when I'm happy, angry or sad, except when I'm in moods like this. Everything just feels like its been covered with a veil, or I'm numb and protected from it. I cry, but I don't feel anything behind it. Its like the tears just fall, so I let them. What should I do? We went into the consulting room where the vet who wasn't particularly friendly prodded and poked her for a bit. she scanned her (which is free in UK) to see if chipped but she wasnt. Really what I wanted was to be able to bring her from the outhouse into the house that night. Id frontlined her but it was really really bad. They huddled together outside for ten minutes and then said they couldnt sort her fur unless I pay 200 quid for loads of tests as they reckon shed need to be put under anasthetic. It would take a week or so before they could treat her. shes a gentle cat, I reckon they could have done it without all that, and she has no symptoms of fiv, feline leukemia or renal failure.I've been managing slowly to sort her fur it's just now the outhouse is probably covered in fleas :( They seemed uncaring and couldnt tell me whether she was neutered or how old she was, and they poked her so hard she yelled in pain at one point. All in all I didnt get much from it, and they used no equipment or meds. I was nearly in tears when they told me about the 200 quid, they could see I was upset. I take both my cats there and have spent a fortune in the past. I left and stood outside to collect myself. One of them ran out and I thought she was going to give me some helpful advice but she ran out to tell them I owe them 25 quid for the "consultation". All in all I feel let down. If My Ruby was found I'd want the owner to be given helpful advice. Ruby is chipped but sometimes it can take up to a minute to find a chip. she took about 5 seconds. Am I right to feel a bit mad?

How to deal with my mom that is now in heaven?

Last year, in June my mom didn't feel good. She drove to the doctors, and they took tests and she found out that she had leukemia. She got rushed to the hospital and she was there for a month then she came back home, because the medication made her better. But this year after all the bone marrows, medicine, stem-cell, and a leukocyte.This year went to the hspital again and the doctors gave her medicine. But she wasn't getting any better. And last night, my dad told me "mom will be going to heaven tonight" and I was so confused, I ran to my room and started crying. She was my best friend and she had a good additude. She didn't sit in the hospital asking God why her she went through it, and now I think she died...I'm not sure if she died because I'm still confused because I didn't understand what my dad was telling me...Please give me advice on how to deal with it thanks! :)

Could I have leukemia?

Well, I was at a dance recital last night, and my friend asked me why I had bruises all over my arms or legs, and I told her it was because I had been bruising easily for the past months. She said "Well... maybe you have leukemia!!' I know she was kidding, but it worried me, like things like that do, and so I went home last night and searched symptoms for leukemia and on many websites I found very similiar things. And I matched up to every symptom. I would've asked my mom, but my mom would probably just say, "Oh you don't have that." and go right back to work without even letting me talk like she always does and my dad is away on a business trip. Leukemia or am I imagining it?

I have been getting pains in my legs and arms that come for a few seconds and goes, it dosent hurt much. But then I got a nosebleed and I looked up things on google and of course became concerned. (i should note that for the past 2-3 years I get some nosebleeds from the same nostril every time... So its probably a blood vessel) I don't have any other symptoms.. Am I just being a worry wart? What concerns me the most is the minor pains I feel in random spots? Maybe its because I'm paying extra attention?

I just had a blood test done and everything came back normal except the mono test and my blood count...they said that I have had mono in the past but that's not my point.. ...my blood count was a bit elevated and they said that means I have some kind of infection but could it mean leukemia? Would they know if it was that or not?

if it was implantation bleeding then you would already be about 4 weeks pregnant so if you are worried you can just take the test. and yes change in lifestyle can have an affect on your period. and if you didn't use a condom for a minute or whatever he still could have pre- cummed inside you. which you nor him feel at all. its just a drop and that's all you need to get pregnant. so the best thing you can do is get a pregnancy test. i had a period early november that was normal then end of november that was just spotting and im 30 weeks pregnant. but again just take a test to be on the safe side. hope this helps

I personally think it might be best to go to court or at least seek legal advice because your situation with this roommate is so complicated. Something similar to what's motivating your husband, I imagine: despite the wrongs she's committed, she did enough right to help make the guy you love into who he is today, and you'd like to make your peace with her before it's too late if it's at all possible. I don't think there's anything wrong or odd about that, but I do think you need to stop hiding in the background and secretly patting yourself on the back for being the bigger person. She's made an overture in the form of wanting to talk to you. I'd take her up on it and reach out directly.
