I read a book series when i was in school and can't remember the name.?

What I can remember is that it was a variety of stories about teenagers that lived in a hospital built for them. They each had a life taking disease, mainly leukemia. The hospital was supposed to be a home until they passed away. I think very few had a miracle and lived through it.. Can anyone tell me what the name of that series is??
