To all the doctors out there: what do you say when telling somebody they have leukemia?

The more complicated medical words like lymphocyte and cytogenetics there are, the better. It's acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and the diagnosed has less than a month to live. Also tell the diagnosed that he has to go for this check-up and that X-ray, whatever. Also talk about the treatment he has to go through, and whatever that is necessary for the diagnosed to know. Try to sound as professional as possible. Thanks! (I need this for a story I'm writing)
